In a big setback for Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, a Jodhpur court Thursday convicted him in the 1998 Blackbuck poaching. The court, however, acquitted fellow Bollywood actors Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre and Neelam.

Salman Khan and the other actors were accused to killing two blackbucks in Kankani village near Jodhpur on October 2, 1998, while they were shooting for the movie ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’.

After hearing the final arguments in the case on March 28 this year, the court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate Dev Kumar Khatri had reserved the judgment for today.

Salman faces a maximum jail term of six years and a minimum of 1 year in prison.

The court is expected to pronounce the quantum of punishment shortly.
