The Central Board of Secondary Education on Tuesday announced the results for Class 10th. Four students topped the examination by scoring 499 out of 500. Prakhar Mittal from Gurugram, Rimjhim Agarwal from Bijnor, Nandini Garg from Shamli, and Sreelakshmi G. from Cochin topped the examination. 86.70 percent of total students have passed the examination.
27,476 students have secured 95 percent and above, while 1,31,493 students have scored 90 percent and above. 92.55 per cent differently abled candidates cleared the CBSE Class 10 exam. Anushka Panda from Suncity, Gurgaon scored 489 out of 500 and topped the result list in the differently abled category.
Over 16 lakh students appeared for Class 10 exams this year. The CBSE exams for both Class 10 and 12 were marred by controversy this year with question paper leaks being reported from various states across India. For the maths paper of Class 10, reports suggest the leak happened in Delhi-NCR, Haryana and Jharkhand.
