Singer Neel Akash was allegedly misbehaved, insulted and verbally abused at Changsari where he had gone to perform at a Bihu function last night. The singer and some of his band members were allegedly heckled, insulted and verbally abused over an argument over remuneration at Banmaza, Changsari, on the outskirts of Guwahati.
An argument broke out between Neel Akash, his band members and members of the Bihu committee after the singer reportedly expressed unhappiness at being offered less money as remuneration for the performance. The singer said that he was paid Rs 25,000 as advance and then Rs 60,000 last night as another instalment that led to a war of words between the singer and the organizers.

Neel Akash said that he returned the money back to the organizers and performed for free. But some of the organizers, the singer accused, misbehaved with him and his band members. Bihu committee members were also accused of damaging some of the musical instruments belonging to Neel Akash and his band members.
Bihu Committee members, on the other hand, said that they had signed a contract with a person who claimed to be the manager of the singer and that it was agreed upon that the Bihu committee will pay him Rs 1.55 lakh as remuneration to perform at the bihu function at Banmaza.
However, it turned out that the person who had signed the agreement with the Bihu organizers turned out to be a fraud. The Bihu organizers who had earlier made two instalments of Rs 30,000 each to Neel Akash offered Rs 60,000 during the Bihu programme last night leading to a heated argument between the singer, his band members and some Bihu committee members.
Meanwhile, one person has been arrested by Changsari Police after the singer and his band members lodged a complaint with police.
