In a major accident, 70 passengers narrowly escaped death in a head-on collision in Assam’s Kaziranga in the wee hours on Wednesday. The accident took place in Hatikhuli under Kohora police out-post in Kaziranga.
According to reports, at least 70 people suffered injuries after the crash between a Night super, a goods truck and a Traveller. 10 people, who suffered serious injuries, were immediately shifted to Kamala Miri Civil Hospital in Bokakhat, with the help of locals.
The incident took place at around 4:30 AM over a bridge in Hatikhuli area when the night super (AS-01-FC-9088) of Network Travels on its way to Jorhat from Guwahati collided head-on with the goods truck (RJ-02-GB-8183). On the other hand, the Traveller (AS-05-C-4334) collided the night super from behind.

“The bus first collided head-on with the truck after the drivers lost control over the vehicles and then the Traveller hit the bus from behind,” said an eyewitness. Meanwhile, the accident caused traffic snarls over the National Highway.
